Our standard E3 hinge system allows for a maximum width of 950mm and a maximum height of 2600mm. For taller wider doors it is possible to use the more expensive E4 hinge system and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
We also offer the F3 system which is a bottom roller hinge system that is ideally suited for projects where there is not support above, such as green oak homes, orangeries, conservatories and old buildings. We have a huge amount of expertise in this area and our fitters are highly trained in fitting to green oak frames.
One of the most important factors for buyers is the way their folding sliding doors operate. There are many different manufacturers out there offering an array of different setups. Buyers are offered top hung systems or the alternative bottom rollers, both have their uses but it is widely agreed that a top hung system like the one Valdi provide as standard offers the best end result. Hinges come fully assembled and holes are pre drilled for precise
locating when fitting. The E3 system has been tested to over
50,000 cycles with some parts tested to over 100,000 cycles
ensuring that your doors will run perfectly for years to come. Valdi
incorporate the E3 hinge system created by Centor that has been
designed to the highest level. Shown in the picture is the E3 carrier
that takes the majority of the folding sliding doors weight and is set into the guide
track at the top of your doors. Made from the highest grade stainless
steel with custom machined bearings to extremely fine tolerances with a
minimum of 6 bearings to each carrier. Individually precision machined wheel.
Innovative and accurate carrier design prevents scraping on the insides of the
overhead track and with a polypropylene floor channel lining adds an extremely
smooth and almost silent action that you cannot mistake for any other product.
Incorporating a automatic locking mechanism to the height adjustment allows you
to create fine tuning without accidental change, and is adjusted simply by the
turn of a screwdriver.
Hinges are made of the same high quality stainless steel and come
in a range of uses. Folding sliding doors are built with a centrally fitted D handle
hinge that allows for ease of closing. Hinges come fully assembled

E3 Bottom tracks act as a guide for the doors but with their precision
engineering and polypropylene lining assist in an effortless glide and
almost silent operation. The same channel is used in all our sill types
including a completely flush room divider option. As the doors are typically
top hung grit and dirt in the bottom channel do not effect the smooth
running and are easily cleaned if needed. Built in drainage allows for
any moisture and water to drain away from the doors and your home.
F3 bottom rolling track systems still offer effortless opening as the track and rollers are
set on a camber it means that any dust and dirt is moved away from the running area. An extrenal
seal also protects the sill from day to day dirt making this system a very reliable alternative
